Anna and the French kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Anna and the French kiss, a classic tale of teenage romance. It has a lot of charm and humor, mixed into it's pages of well written drama. Anna and the French kiss, will sweep you off your feet and remind you of how it feels to be in love for the first time. An enjoyable read, recommended for ages 13 and up. It has mild language, teenage alcohol consumption, and a few make out sessions.

About the book: The story follows Anna Oliphant, who is sent away to Paris, France on her senior year. When she first arrives to France, she feels out of place, lonely and reluctant to leave her dorm. Then she meets Meredith and her friends. It doesn't take long for Meredith and her friends to warm up to Anna. Especially the handsome, Etienne St. Clair. Before she knows it, Anna is thrown into a world of teenage drama and self discovery.

About the Author: Stephanie Perkins is the author of three best selling novels. She currently lives in Asheville, North Carolina. Stephanie has always worked with and loved books. She was a bookseller, then a librarian, and now she's a novelist. She is happily married to Jarrod Perkins.

Review: Honestly, I couldn't put this book down. The story was well written and the characters were easy to fall in love with. Unfortunately, the story dragged toward the end and it felt predictable. The book also lacked jaw-dropping moments. The book was good but that was it. It was just good, plain and simple. For this reason, I gave this story: Three out of five stars.
